This is also a type of cannabinoid found in the hemp or marijuana plant. But looking at a fresh weed, there is very little presence of CBD, what you will find is huge amounts of CBDa. That is because, simply put, CBDa is the raw form of CBD. Only when weed is heated will CBDa transform itself into CBD. This is known scientifically as decarboxylation.

Just like CBD, CBDa interacts with our bodily system that may offer a cure or health well-being to its users, such as mood enhancement to pain relief. CBDa is the acid form of CBD and as mentioned above, when this is heated, it transforms itself into CBD.

But clinical studies conducted on other animals show that CBDa can reduce or control seizure attacks and the immediate spread of tumors in animals. There also have been studies showing  CBDa being able to reduce inflammation to a great extent in animals. The signs have been very promising on the animals studied however, clinical tests on humans have yet to be recorded. Another clinical study on animals involving CBDa and THCa (both were discovered to have anti-inflammatory effects) showed that CBDa proved to be the more potent element between the two.

  • What is CBDa Generally Used For?

Unknowingly, manufacturers of some food products may put raw hemp oil into their products and these are used by the consumers. Or it may be purposely infused into some drink or salad in form of oil. Similarly, Tinctures may contain raw CBD oil as its main ingredient, making CBDa present in the said tincture.

Smoking CBDa is not possible and once you light up a joint, the natural tendency is for it to be converted automatically into CBD. Therefore smoking CBDa is not feasible at all.
